HASANZ Conference 2026 Special Edition

The Health and Safety Association New Zealand (HASANZ) has announced the 2026 HASANZ Conference to be held at the Tākina Convention and Exhibition Centre in Wellington from 16 to 18 September 2026.

The 2026 HASANZ Conference will mark a decade of HASANZ Conferences, a decade since the Health and Safety at Work Act came into force, and will celebrate what has been achieved in that time. Presentations and posters will help navigate today's uncertainties and look forward to the future with all its possibilities and advancements.

The New Zealand Journal of Health and Safety Practice will publish abstracts and posters that are accepted for presentation at the conference.

A call for presentation proposals will open in February 2026. Abstracts are to be no more than 300 words (2100 characters) and should meet the following selection criteria.

Abstracts should be relevant to the conference theme "Learning, Leading, Innovating", contribute to the improvement of workplace health and safety in New Zealand, and show:

• Originality
• Currency
• Interest
