The New Zealand Journal of Health and Safety Practice is delighted to announce its first edition will be published on 2 April 2024. We are making this call for submissions that meet our publishing objectives set out here. We will welcome submissions from a wide range of authors in New Zealand and beyond, often with no or minimal author processing charges.
The journal is open access, published online only and has no subscription charges. It will fill a gap between trade publications and long-established academic journals.
The founders and Editorial Board thank the initial journal funders and staff of Victoria University of Wellington Library who helped make the journal possible.
In July 1974 the UK Health and Safety at Work Act came into force. What were its origins and how has it affected the New Zealand Health and Safety at Work Act? We call for submissions of articles around this broad theme and the current review of the health and safety regulatory framework in New Zealand.
