Guidelines for contributors

Submissions should be double-spaced throughout and provided with reasonable margins. Formatting of electronic copy should be kept to a minimum (particularly with regard to hidden styles); essential formatting must be detailed separately.

Authors should provide an abstract of no more than 150 words, and may supply keywords for use in search engines. Please indicate institutional affiliation as appropriate. Authors should indicate if they wish their email address made available to readers for correspondence.

Articles must be prepared in accordance with the MLA Handbook for Writers of Research Papers, using parenthetical citations in the text and an alphabetical list of works cited. Notes will appear as endnotes and should be reserved for brief comment or explanation, not for citations. Notes should be keyed with superscript Arabic numerals, numbered automatically in one sequence.

Citations in languages other than English should be followed in the text by translations in parentheses. Vowel length in words in Te Reo Maori will not normally be indicated, except where substantial portions of text are in Te Reo Maori; when necessary, vowel length should be indicated by use of a macron.

Contributors are responsible for obtaining any necessary permissions to print material. Please provide evidence of such permission as appropriate. Proofs will be supplied to authors in pdf when the editorial work has been completed.
