This paper sets out in detail what the government’s thinking is around its economic transformation agenda, where it comes from, and where we are going with it. First, I discuss the need for policy prescriptions to reflect a distinct Kiwi economic identity. I then discuss the government’s vision of economic transformation, before reflecting on the policy agenda and the need for effective partnerships to contribute to success.
