The Labour Party claims the current Employment Contracts Act is not compatible with the economic environment Labour wants to foster. If elected, Labour will introduce in its place the Employment Relations Act. This paper analyses the proposed reforms and concludes the reforms are, in the main, superficial and will have little impact on New Zealand industrial relations.Downloads
