About the Journal

The New Zealand Journal of Industrial Relations was published between 1977 and 2003. In 2004 it was renamed the New Zealand Journal of Employment Relations. The Journal was published by the Industrial Relations Society of New Zealand (1977-1980), the New Zealand Institute for Industrial Relations Research Inc (1981-1991) and the Foundation for Industrial Relations Research and Education (1992-2003). However, views expressed by contributors to the Journal are their own and do not necessarily reflect the views either of the editors or of the publishers. This site contains the full text of the Journal from 1977 to 1996. Subsequent issues of the Journal and of the New Zealand Journal of Employment Relations are available from a range of sources including Proquest and ABI/Inform.

Journal History

The New Zealand Journal of Industrial Relations was published by the Industrial Relations Society of New Zealand In (1977-1980), the New Zealand Institute for Industrial Relations Research Inc (1981-1991) and the Foundation for Industrial Relations Research and Education (1992-2003). However, views expressed by contributors to the Journal are their own and do not necessarily reflect the views either of the editors or of the publishers. The journal appeared three times a year, in May, August and November.
