This paper examines the relationship between educational reform, the labour market and economic growth. It argues that recent New Right driven reforms in education, coupled with labour market deregulation, will create a low skilled, low wage economy. It further argues that such an outcome is not inevitable and that it is possible to develop both an education systema nd labour market structure which can produce a high wage, high technology economy.Downloads
