This paper records a study of the impacts of the Employment Contracts Act 1991 (ECA) on unions and non-union bargaining agents. The assessment primarily relates to the first 12 months of the Act's operation but, where appropriate, does extrapolate certain trends into the foreseeable future. Both trade unions and non-union agents (alternative worker agents and employer agents) are discussed.Downloads
