Memories Without Borders? Spanish Courts and the Case for Universal Jurisdiction

José Colmeiro (PhD, University of California, Berkeley) currently holds the Prince of Asturias Chair in Spanish at the University of Auckland. He has published eight books and more than fifty articles and book chapters on Hispanic cultural studies, Spanish literature and film, and Galician studies. His major publications include Memoria histórica e identidad cultural: De la postguerra a la postmodernidad (2005), Crónica del desencanto: La narrativa de Manuel Vázquez Montalbán (Letras de Oro Prize, 1996) and La novela policiaca española: Teoría e historia crítica (1994).
