Submission Preparation ChecklistAs part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
- The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
The submission file is in Microsoft Word; endnotes, not footnotes, should be used and should be numerical (not roman numerals). The Journal follows the Chicago Manual of Style.
The text is 1.5 spacing; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end. Illustrations and photographs should not be sent separately, but inserted into the text.
If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
- The author's name and contact details, plus title and 100 word abstract, are entered separately in the on-line submission process, along with a short biographical note on the author (approximately 30 words).
Copyright permissions to reproduce illustrations are the responsibility of the author. Please check the specific requirements of the relevant library, archive or copyright holder.
