Author Biography

Trevor Richards

Trevor Richards was actively involved in the New Zealand anti-apartheid movement for two decades. During 1969-79 he was national chairperson for the Halt All Racist Tours movement (HART). He worked for the United Nations Secretariat in New York, managed the Africa Programme for Volunteer Service Abroad (VSA), and is currently writing at the Stout Research Centre. This article is based on a seminar he gave at the Centre in April 1996.
