Colin James has been observing and commenting on New Zealand affairs for nearly fifty years. He’s clearly a voracious reader across many fields and extremely well connected (very few writers of today could recount a personal conversation with Sir James Henare in 1980). Indeed, this book has the touch of a memoir.
