The Ohu Movement

Lyman Tower Sargent is Professor and Chair of Political Science at the University of Missouri-St Louis. He is the Editor of Utopian Studies and has written some 50 articles on various aspects of utopianism. In 1995-96 he was an Associate of the Stout Research Centre conducting research on the history of New Zealand utopianism, which is presented in two Occasional Papers published by the Centre, entitled New Zealand Utopian Literature: An annotated bibliography and New Zealand Intentional Communities: A research guide. The seminar on which this article on the Ohu Movement is based was given at the Stout Research Centre in March 1996.
