The Minister of Justice's Opening Speech

The author, then the Minister of Justice, presents the opening speech of the symposium on Family Property and the Law held by the New Zealand Institute of Advanced Legal Studies. The author comments on the role of the Government in family property, as well as the legislation surrounding family property including the Matrimonial Property Act 1976.
