Abstract

This article investigates records manager's awareness of trust issues in the New Zealand public sector and looks at whether they are aware that a lack of trust impacts on employee use of recordkeeping systems. It also considers strategies used by records managers to encourage employee use of recordkeeping systems.

Author Biography

Jean Hitchcock

Jean Hitchcock studied librarianship at the University of Cape Town. She has worked in several libraries in both South Africa and New Zealand. While completing the MIS at Victoria University of Wellington she undertook varied recordkeeping contracts to gain experience in this field, and is now working in recordkeeping and digitisation for Auckland Council.
