This article highlights possible organisational models based on tikanga Māori and Te Tiriti o Waitangi in addressing questions relating to settler colonialism, records recreation, archival access, and knowledge production.

Author Biography

Jared Davidson

Jared Davidson is a research archivist by day and a writer by night. His work ranges from archival outreach to military and labour history, and includes two books: Remains to Be Seen: Tracing Joe Hill's Ashes in New Zealand (2011) and Sewing Freedom: Philip Josephs, Transnationalism & Early New Zealand Anarchism (2013). He lives in Waiwhetu, Lower Hutt with his partner and two sons.
