Abstract

This article discusses the release of the 'Turnbull Unpublished' and 'Turnbull Names' datasets by the Alexander Turnbull Library (ATL), Wellington. It emphasises the ATL goal of enabling discovery by all, and outlines the development and context of the datasets and the four key standards to which they comply. It also comments on the benefits to digital researchers of standardising the descriptive metadata to generate these datasets.
