Abstract

This article reproduces the opening remarks by Paul Diamond and a response by Te Reo o Taranaki archive manager Claire Hall at the panel discussion 'Māori archives, iwi, networks and researchers'. It includes a response from Claire Hall to the article 'Colonial continuum - archives, access & power' by Jared Davidson. Then it offers a postscript of how this article was shared with a group of Te Reo o Taranaki students who were studying archiving.

Author Biography

Claire Hall

Claire Hall is Pākehā, with Kātarani and Aerihi ancestry, and an author, historian, community archivist and Māori language advocate. She manages Te Reo o Taranaki’s archive, Te P```````````````ūtē Routiriata o Taranaki and delivers oral history and archive training. Her projects include developing a new digital archive for Te Reo o Taranaki using the Mukurtu indigenous content management system.
