Abstract

This article describes the origin and contents of a collection of family papers and photographs from the Blackie family farmhouse. The farmhouse is located close to Kaitangata. The collection was donated to the University of Otago by Judith Robinson, and is now held online in the Hocken Collections. The collection traces the family back to 1848 with the arrival of James Blackie in Dunedin.
