Abstract

This article interviews senior archivist Tracy White who works at Documentation/Kaiatawhai Pūranga Matua, at Ngā Taonga, Sound and Vision in Wellington. Inquires about why she pursued this path, what is the largest challenge in her job, what she would enhance or change if permitted, her favourite collection and notable acquisitions she would like to promote to the ARANZ members.

Author Biography

Brad Patterson

Brad Patterson is an Adjunct Research Fellow at the Stout Research Centre for New Zealand Studies, Victoria University of Wellington. Formerly Director of the university’s Irish-Scottish Studies Programme, his current research interests include migration studies and the political economy of settler capitalism. His most recent book (edited with Richard Hill and Kathryn Patterson) is After the Treaty: The Settler
State, Race Relations and the Exercise of Power in Colonial New Zealand (2016). He was a founding member of ARANZ and is an Honorary Life Member.
